After watching the Pittsburgh Steelers defeat the New York Jets on Sunday, my feelings have now changed how I look at this Steeler team.
I have lived in central Pennsylvania most of my life and have been surrounded by Steelers and Eagles fans. One of my brothers is a Steelers fan and so are two of my best friends. Being a Cowboys fan since I was seven years old, I have never liked the Steelers, but I have been able to tolerate them compared to most teams here in the east. But now I am tired of seeing them in the Super Bowl, which is now for the third time in six years.
The Cowboys have now gone 15 years without a Super Bowl appearance, which is now the longest drought in franchise history. Pittsburgh has now tied Dallas for the most Super Bowl appearances with eight. They have already won the most with six, and will be shooting for a seventh. It sickens me to see the Steelers continue to have so much success. They are a great team and I respect them, but I do not like them. And my dislike continues to grow more and more each year. I am sure that most Cowboys fans feel the same way.
All I know is come Sunday, February 6, I will be rooting for Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers to win Super Bowl 45 in Arlington.
Please share your thoughts. Thanks.
