Congratulations Jason!

I would like to congratulate Jason Witten on making the NFL All-Pro team. He certainly deserves it because he had an outstanding year - 94 receptions, 1,002 yards, and nine touchdowns. It's unfortunate the Cowboys had a very disappointing season, but this is one achievement we can be proud of. Congratulations Jason!

I think it goes without saying that Witten is a future Hall of Famer. He is still young and will play for several more years, but the numbers he has put up in an eight year career are amazing, not to mention the fact that he reached the 600 reception mark faster than any tight end in NFL history. And he is without a doubt the greatest tight end in Dallas Cowboys history. There were other solid tight ends that have worn the star on their helmet. A few come to mind - Billy Joe Dupree in the 1970s and early '80s, Doug Cosbie in the 1980s, and Jay Novacek in the 1990s. But Jason now stands head and shoulders above all of them. Hopefully one day soon he can have a Super Bowl championship to cap a remarkable career.

Also, congrats to Jason, center Andre Gurode, linebacker Demarcus Ware, nose tackle Jay Ratliff, and  punter Mat McBriar for making the Pro Bowl this year. The game will be played this Sunday, January 30th in Honolulu, Hawaii.
